The younger sister of the man accused of sexually abusing their five-year-old sister and her two-year-old baby girl has expressed hope that her brother will spend a long time in prison after he was taken into police custody.
The 29-year-old man, who is alleged to have molested both infants at their family home in Negril, Westmoreland, was apprehended by lawmen in the parish yesterday morning.
Investigators in Negril told The Gleaner that the accused man was held on a farm in the Whithorn area hours after he was spotted at a location in Montego Bay, St James – some 29 miles away.
“Mi feel glad when mi hear that them hold him and mi think him fi feel the same pain that him mek mi little sister and mi daughter go through,” the woman told our news team.
“Mi hear that them ketch him pon one farm a Whithorn, but up to now mi don’t see him ... . Dem fi send him a prison for a long time,” she added.
